Water Gardening and
Water Features

A water garden captures the tranquility of gently running water and the glitter of dancing light in its reflection.

A water garden can consist of a pond, a barrel with water, a stream, a "wet" area, a fountain, special lighting, or a combination of any of these. Water gardens attract all manner of wildlife. Unfortunately, they also attract mosquitoes...

As your eyes follow the stems of the aquatic plants and exquisite water lilies beneath the surface of the glistening water, you will find the peacefulness of another world--an aquatic world. Ornamental fish, goldfish and koi (sometimes referred to as "living jewels" because of their bright beautiful coloring) add a dash of color to the depths of a water garden. Koi are quite intelligent and responsive to their owners. (quoted from The Water Garden)

Some koi eat grapefruit. Koi enjoy treats such as fruit and heads of lettuce.
